Saturday Night Live (SNL) December 13, 1975 – Richard Pryor / Gil Scott-Heron

Pryor died with a smile on his face according to his wife Jennifer. He died as a result of cardiac arrest in Encino, California. He was 65 years old and had just turned 9 days previous. Jennifer took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead after her own attempts to revive him.Born Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor III, Richard Pryor was a comedian well known for his outspoken and often vulgar routines. He also appeared in a lot of movies, often teaming up with actor Gene Wilder. He once set himself on fire while freebasing cocaine, suffering burns on about half of his entire body.

Saturday Night Live (SNL) The Best of Chris Farley

Farley overdosed on a combination of cocaine and morphine, though artery disease atherosclerosis is said to have played a significant role.He had been in and out of drug rehab as many as seventeen times.  His brother found his body in his New York apartment. He was 33 years old. Christopher Crosby “Chris” Farley was a comedian/actor who got his fame from being on Saturday Night Live.

Lil’ Pimp

Bernard Jeffrey “Bernie Mac” McCullough died on August 9, 2008 from complications due to pneumonia, which was most likely brought on by his sarcoidosis, something he suffered with since 1983. Mac got his start as a stand-up comedian in Chicago’s Cotton Pickin’ Club. At the age of 32 he won the Miller Lite Comedy Search, this is when he started to develop a fan base.

Danny Gans

Be Strong

Danny Gans died unexpectedly at his Las Vegas, Nevada home.  Gans’ wife found him complaining about shortness of breath around 3:30AM, but by the time the paramedics arrived, there wasn’t anything they could do. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death is unknown at the time of this writing.

Steve Wynn, chief executive of Wynn Resorts, released the following statements through his company that Gans’ death was “a profoundly tragic event that leaves us all sad and speechless.”
”All of us … are devastated at the loss of our brilliant, talented and loving friend”.

Fred Travalena

Fred Travalena died of Cancer. Died June 28, 2009. Born October 6, 1942. Best known as “The Man of 1000 Faces”. Travalena did impressions of celebs such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bob Hope. He was a regular on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
